The Reverend Connie Hughes grew up in Edgewood. She came to faith at a Young Life ranch in 1965. She graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in English education. After raising her children and teaching 7th and 8th grade English, she obtained a Masters in Counseling from Duquesne University. She has worked for eleven years as a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma, addictions, and depression. She is credentialied by Focus on the Family and New Life national networks. After working at the Washington City Mission, Connie began coursework at Trinity School for Ministry, graduating with an M.Div in 2010. Following graduation she was hired by Christ Church Fox Chapel as Assistant Rector where she was ordained priest in January, 2011. She enjoys fiber arts of all kinds, especially traditional rug hooking, and spending time with her seven grandchildren.
