Dr. Joe Coffey is the lead pastor of Christ Community Chapel, a multi-site church of about 4,000 in Northeast Ohio. He is passionate about the church and its purpose: to bring people into a life-long relationship with Christ. He desires to see people grow from being church consumers to true disciples. He also has a heart for missions, especially for the lost in countries marked by spiritual darkness and the accompanying physical misery. He has led numerous trips to India, where Christ Community Chapel has built and established life centers that have brought not only the Good News of Christ, but also medical care, clean water, and hope.
In 2009 Joe completed a Doctor of Ministry degree at Columbia Seminary. He has also authored three books; Red Like Blood: Confrontations with Grace, Smooth Stones: Bringing Down the Giant Questions of Apologetics, and A Cup of Inspiration.
Joe’s wife Karen, who serves on the faculty of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, recently completed the educational requirements and training to become a clinical counselor.
Joe has a strong spiritual heritage. He and his brother Brian, who pastors a church in Illinois, are the sons of Pastor Roland Coffey, who has served in ministry for fifty-six years.
