Dr. Jack Connell has served as Provost and Dean of the Faculty at Houghton College since 2016. Previously he served for eight years at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY, where he was Vice President of Northeastern Seminary, Senior Vice President of Advancement, and Executive Vice President. He has a doctorate in higher education from the University of Rochester, a doctor of ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary, a masters degree from Asbury Seminary, and an undergraduate degree from Houghton College. Jack has nearly twenty years of pastoral experience, including eleven years as senior pastor of Crosswinds Wesleyan Church in Canandaigua, NY. During his tenure, Crosswinds grew from 200 to 1400 in weekend attendance and became one of the largest and fastest-growing churches in the Wesleyan denomination. He has taught and spoken at numerous events and churches, has had articles published in a variety of publications. Jack and his wife Wendy have three adult children and one still living at home. Wendy is also a graduate of Houghton College and is an English teacher.
