Patricia Heaton

Israel and the Church

April 15, 2024 @ 4:30pm - 6pm

Cultural Center, following reception - All are welcomed!

Patricia Heaton - is an American actress, producer and comedienne. She began her career appearing in a recurring role in the ABC drama series, Thirtysomething (1989–1991), and later appearing in the comedy films Memoirs of an Invisible Man and Beethoven (both 1992).

Heaton is not just known for her excellence as an actress and writer. Her deep faith and strong social conscience have prompted her to speak out on issues that are hot-button topics in Hollywood.

Audiences enjoy Heaton's refreshing candor, her honesty, her humor and her willingness to tackle the tough topics facing people today. She speaks freely about the role her faith plays in her life. Her insights on religion, marriage, and motherhood, and her openness about balancing her career with raising her four sons make Heaton a fascinating, entertaining and heartwarming speaker.

Kristi McLelland

Kristi McLelland is a speaker, teacher, and college professor. Since completing her Masters of Arts in Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, she has dedicated her life to discipleship, to teaching people how to study the Bible for themselves, and to writing about how God is better than we ever knew by explaining the Bible through a Middle Eastern lens. Her great desire for people to truly experience the love of God birthed a ministry in which she leads biblical study trips to Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Italy.

Our Mission

We are a small group of Episcopalians who started a Mid-week Communion Service and Bible study in 1976.  Our service is open to all Ocean Reef members and guests.  We use Rite II of the Book of Common Prayer as the basis for our service, which is conducted by Episcopal clergy from local churches.
